Things to Do

Cornwall is a county of legend; Celts, Druids and King Arthur, plus the modern attractions of the Eden Project (www.edenproject.com/), Tate Gallery (www.tate.org.uk/stives/), the Lost Gardens of Heligan (www.heligan.com/), and National Maritime Museum (www.nmmc.co.uk/) and Albion house affords visitors the perfect base in which to explore cornwall.

In Mevagissey itself is the Museum which is situated on the East Wharf of the Inner Harbour(01726 843568/843570) and on the opposite side the Aqaurium which is free! There are also The Old Pilchard Cellars, The 15th Century Church at Gorran, Polmassick Vineyard, Caerhays Castle and Dodman Point.

The National Coastal Path also runs near by Albion House. Please also be aware that pirates roam the streets of Mevagissey (www.piratesofstpiran.co.uk/).

Fishing

Whether you are looking to land a big skate or get bitten by a crab, fishing of the harbour is great fun. You can buy crab lines all around the town or if you want a rod for Sea angling from the Harbour Wall visit the Mevagissey Shark Angling Centre (01726 843430)  where you can get all the equipment and also book fishing trips.

Pubs/Restaurants

There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in Mevagissey. A couple of our favourite restaurants are Roovrays (http://www.roovrays.com/) and the School House (www.schoolhouserestaurant.co.uk) and be sure to go for a drink at the Ship before hand.
