Getting to Albion House
If you are travelling by train St Austell is the nearest station. This is about a 10 minute drive from Albion House and costs around £10. There is also a bus service from outside the station to the centre of the village.
If you are coming by car the postcode for Sat Nav is PL26 6UR. Head for St Austell, then follow signs to Mevagissey (a journey of about 7 miles/10 minutes). remember that Mevagissey itself is a small historical village with traditional narrow roads. On entering village follow the one way system into the centre, and then head out of the village following signs for Gorran Haven - you will see the harbour on your left. This is Polkirt Hill. Half way up the hill there is a blue house, Albion House is two beyond the blue house.
Polkirt Hill is a single track road and there is no parking immediately outside the property. It is recommended that you stop outside the house to unload - locals are well used to this, and it is part of the local Mevagissey charm, as is negotiating your way past other cars up and down the hill.
Parking is at the back of the property, which is a short drive. Once you have unloaded, follow the road up the hill and past a sharp right turn. Go to the top of this hill and turn right into Higher Well Park and right again in to Lower Well Park. Follow this road along until you come to some modern town houses and park on the left side of the road. There is a steep footpath on the right which takes you down to Polkirt Hill. Turn left and Albion House is the third property on the left.
